Naughtinesses of one kind and another....and another

A month is a long time in a dog's life. This month Rosie has learnt to chase after wildlife in the hedgerows, especially pheasants...unfortunately, it's not been good for her recall. Rosie has gone off for increasing periods of time before returning, making me Worried.

We have caught up with Chip and thankfully, Isla is back in action again, but mostly Rosie and I have gone to a few safe-ish fields where I hope she will return...

Here she is enjoying the dappled Spring shade. Unfortunately, water and temptation is never far behind.

Spot the Heron, anyone? Rosie did!

If you look carefully, you will see why we have also nicknamed this route 'The Cat Run'. At the moment Rosie is the only one of the posse who hasn't had her nose scratched, but it may be only a matter of time...

Meanwhile, Rosie's two current obsessions are: Socks (even better if someone has left the door open so she can take them into the garden)

And tennis balls....

But even when she's being naughty, she's still got that 'Likeability Factor' and we all love her!

Topsy Turvy

Hooray! Off lead walks are fab.

I've been going back to my old haunts...

Here are the fish ponds again, looking more like ponds every day. I laugh and wait for Packleader as she picks her way through the water, I'm way ahead for her!

Of course, seeing my friends has been great too. Here is Mr. Chip, one of my best pals! Unfortunately, Isla has been in recovery since a damaged paw has kept her out of action. I send her lots of licks...I remember it well...

Meanwhile, the weather has been very topsy turvy. Sometimes it looks fab, just like this thing called Spring.

I get a chance to go back to my favourite lake...

...but then suddenly it is back to Winter....

I'm not going to let it stop me.

I'll enjoy a quick dip, even if it is by myself!

On lead walks...

Things have been a little dull for me recently, so I've not been keeping you up to speed. Through no fault of my own, I must add, I've been on walks ONLY on lead for nearly a month!

It has been a very long time....the good thing is that I've learnt a lot of ways to have fun with Packleader while attached to the lead.

It is still possible to creep through the undergrowth...tee hee

I also get to inspect the flooded Thames in great detail.

Normally Packleader won't let me so close to the river...something about the current. Doesn't she know I can swim!
Now if it wasn't for that lead I'd have got those moorhens!
Rolling in fox poo is also still possible.
I'm sure I saw a stick in there with my name on it.
My mistake...here it is, can I take it home, pleeeeeeeeeease?
How about these sticks? They look interesting.

I look forward to my freedom off lead....

January white stuff

January was very white... it started while I was out, my packleader looked as blue as her jacket. Now I'm thinking those shoes she bought me during my paw injury might not be a bad idea...

The white stuff continued to fall, it was fun but shivery

and it kept on coming...time for a bounce anyone?

 Can't catch me!
Abbey fish ponds - my favourite stomping ground. It was great but my packleader gets upset with me. I was only sniffing for a minute or twenty before I came back. There is talk of puppy training classes again - I think they mean packleader classes.

No birds or squirrels? I'll bark anyway.

Some jobs carry still go on. Here I'm waiting for pack leader to finish cleaning the chicken coop. I have to be ready - you never know when a bark might be needed.

Finally everything has turned back to colour and I take a little stroll in my lake.

Then I met up with Chip at my Happy Place. Only Isla is missing. I heard that she's not been well. I hope she'll be able to enjoy our company again soon.

Naughtiness

Pack leader says I've been naughty...

I can't help it, what else is there to do while I'm waiting in the car?

Yes, I do own the sofa!

First Snow!

Yes! I've got full use of my paws! Everything is better now, freedom! Yippee! I can tackle anything...
....er...but that is one big bird!

I don't know what this white stuff is, but it's really cold, and fun, but where have all the good smells gone? Maybe over here?
 Or this way?

I don't know, I'll just follow my friend Isla.

White stuff

Playing with my Friend! She likes the white stuff too!

Back home for a rest on Pack Leaders lovely cushion in her office.
