Training

It's been a busy time again...one of my pack made me a matching T-shirt with his! I'm just pleased that someone in my pack recognises my Superdog status!

Sometimes, though, my pack is quite silly...

They get me to practice 'Sit - Stay!', I mean it's not as if I don't know how to do it, it's just sometimes there are more important things going on...

At my second agility class, Pack leader took a camera so I could get to show off my new skills...

We started on some hurdles...

....but no one said you needed to jump over them.

Second time lucky

Then there was a tunnel but Pack leader didn't explain very well so the lady in charge had to show her what to do

 Done that... what's next?

You want me to go on that? Why don't you just give me the treats now, it's much easier...

Ok then...since it's sausages and cheese...

I do like this one...

 I'm king of the castle...
 Now where are those Treats!

It's all very exciting but I do get a bit tired

You see, now that I'm getting older, I understand things a bit better. Now all you young pups out there. Whatever you do, you must remember to train your pack properly

Summer Days

These lovely summer days are beginning to change, I can feel it in my paws. My pack leader liked these purple things next to the river.

She also liked these other green things...

I don't quite get it, personally, I prefer to sniff, run into the hedgerows and chase those flappy, feathery creatures that make funny noises.

I've not seen much of Chip recently but he's been on his holidays too. Here we are barking a greeting to each other. It is the polite thing to do...

Since I've been back, we've been going to the usual places, here are the lakes... and in case you are wondering...I'm also still practicing my water skills

I can even run on water!

I'm still good at swimming. This is on the other side of my favourite lake...a bit deeper with lots of exciting things in the reeds...

It was also good that Nature provided me with a snack of blackberries, I get so hungry after my swim...

Pack leader is not happy that I like the paper in her office and promised me some more exciting things to do...

Sadly she didn't take my photo (because I was so quick) but I tried my paw at Agility training... it was so exciting that I had to sleep it off...for three hours!

Holidays!

It's been a long hot summer, so I decided to take my pack on holiday to Dorset (my friend Chip said it was lovely there). Thankfully my pack understood that I wanted to have good accommodation. Here I am in my temporary garden.

The only problem is that it sometimes got too hot but I amused myself with rolling in the shade.

I did find it good to cool off in the local stream and got to be quite popular with the locals but I preferred to have my own space in the water.

I took my pack to see Hardy's Birthplace...I saw a few birds and lots of green stuff and had to wait while they all took it in turns to go into the house. It was such a long wait!

The next day I showed them my preferred activity...jumping into the sea!

I managed to get very good at swimming...I'll be back. Chip was right. Dorset was great.

Dogginess

Well, what can I say? I've been stuck in the house a lot following another incident with what my people call a V-E-T. (My people think that I don't know how to spell but I know what they are talking about)
Anyway, I was confined to barracks for a while.

You know what it's like, after 5 minutes cabin fever sets in. I decided to help my Pack Leader by answering her work calls...

Then I started on her emails but for some reason she didn't like the screen this way round.

I gave up and decided to adjust her chair...

I could tell she wasn't happy so I decided to make some changes to my green blanket...it's a good look, don't you think?

I did my version of couch potato but I think it's over-rated...

Finally I was granted my freedom to roam again. Pack Leader and I chose our favourite path by the canal. We were hoping to see the Kingfisher but no luck today.

We did spy a Mummy Duck with some babies...they swam away when they saw me...

Pack Leader liked these yellow things. I think they look delicious.

But nothing is better than grass. Look how long it's got!

Naughtinesses of one kind and another....and another

A month is a long time in a dog's life. This month Rosie has learnt to chase after wildlife in the hedgerows, especially pheasants...unfortunately, it's not been good for her recall. Rosie has gone off for increasing periods of time before returning, making me Worried.

We have caught up with Chip and thankfully, Isla is back in action again, but mostly Rosie and I have gone to a few safe-ish fields where I hope she will return...

Here she is enjoying the dappled Spring shade. Unfortunately, water and temptation is never far behind.

Spot the Heron, anyone? Rosie did!

If you look carefully, you will see why we have also nicknamed this route 'The Cat Run'. At the moment Rosie is the only one of the posse who hasn't had her nose scratched, but it may be only a matter of time...

Meanwhile, Rosie's two current obsessions are: Socks (even better if someone has left the door open so she can take them into the garden)

And tennis balls....

But even when she's being naughty, she's still got that 'Likeability Factor' and we all love her!
